How to play 304 in five steps
- Four cards each. 32 cards (7 to Ace). Order in each suit: J, 9, A, 10, K, Q, 8, 7.
- Bid in tens. From 160 up to 300. To bid over your own partner you need 200 or more.
- Hide the trump. The highest bidder places one card face down; its suit is trump. Four more cards each, then a second round lets anyone raise to 250+.
- Play eight rounds. Follow suit; if you can't, ask for the trump and cut, or throw a card.
- Count the points. J 30, 9 20, A 11, 10 10, K 3, Q 2. The bidding team needs its bid.
