Play Go Fish online free
Go Fish is the friendliest card game there is: ask other players for the card you need, and if they do not have it, they tell you to "Go Fish!" and you draw from the pond. It is great for children learning ranks and memory, and it is just as fun for adults. Play it free here against 1 to 3 computer players.
How to play Go Fish in five steps
- Deal. Each player gets 7 cards (5 with four players). The rest form the pond face down.
- Ask. On your turn, pick a rank you hold and ask another player for it: "Rahul, do you have any 7s?"
- Take or fish. If they have any, they give you all of them and you ask again. If not, they say "Go Fish" and you draw one card from the pond.
- Lucky draw. If the card you draw is the rank you asked for, you go again. Otherwise your turn ends.
- Make books. Four cards of the same rank form a book, which you set aside. When all 13 books are made, the player with the most books wins.
Tips
Listen to what others ask for: if Priya asks for Kings, she is holding at least one King and you can ask her for them. Ask for ranks you hold two or three of, so you finish books faster. The table shows a short message for every question so you can follow the game.

Seven each with two or three players, five each with four or more players.
Can I ask for any card?
You can only ask for a rank that you already hold at least one of.
What happens when my hand is empty?
You draw new cards from the pond and carry on. If the pond is empty too, you are out of the game and the others continue.
Is Go Fish a game of skill?
Partly. Remembering who asked for what lets you ask the right player, and that is how experienced players win.
