Dealing and bidding

Trump

The suit in the winning bid is trump, known to everyone; after an NT bid there is no trump. Follow suit if you can; if not, cut with a trump or throw any card.

Double and redouble

Before the first lead the other team may double; the bidders may then redouble.

Scoring

Made: the bidders score. Failed: the other team scores.

28–39122 / 43 / 6
40–47234 / 66 / 9
48–55346 / 89 / 12
56458 / 1012 / 15

56 tables use bidding codes (like 28♥ for a Jack and three more hearts, or ♥28 with no Jack). Cheettukali lets you bid any suit or NT; the codes are up to you and your partners.
