About Cheettukali
Cheettukali (ചീട്ടുകളി, "card play") is a free website for the card games Kerala grows up with, and the classics everyone knows.

Why we built it
Thuruppu 40, 28, 29 and 56 are played on every verandah, at weddings, in Gulf camps and on long train rides. But when we looked for a way to play them online, we found mostly real-money apps, wrong rules or nothing at all, especially for the six-player 40 with its Honours, Jodi, Thani and coolie flags. So we built the table we wanted: the real house rules, smart computer partners, and no money involved.
Who makes it
Cheettukali is built and run by Qrenzy Digital Solutions, a small digital studio in Thrissur, Kerala, by people who learned these games at family tables. The same team writes the rules pages and the blog, plays every game before release, and runs thousands of computer-simulated hands to check that the rules and the computer players behave correctly.
Editor and author: Sajeesh V S (Saj), founder of Qrenzy Digital Solutions, Thrissur. He writes the guides and signs off every rules page. Corrections are welcome on the feedback page or the contact page.
How the games work
- Every game runs in your browser. Nothing to install, and it keeps working offline.
- Computer players follow the same rules you do and remember the cards that have been played. They don't see your cards.
- Shuffles are random. Nothing is rigged for or against you, and there is nothing to buy that changes the cards.
- Rules differ from table to table. Ours follow the most common versions, explained on each rules page. Tell us yours: we read every message.
Our promises
- Always free. No real money, no betting, no prizes, no purchases.
- No account and no personal data collected by us.
- No ads on the game table. See play responsibly.
