Bluff Card Game Rules (Cheat)

Bluff is a shedding game for three or more players where you may lie about the cards you play. The aim is to be the first to get rid of all your cards.

🤥 Play it now: open Bluff with 4, 5 or 6 players.

Players and cards

A round

  1. The first player places 1 to 4 cards face down on the pile and announces a rank: "two Queens".
  2. Going round the table (anticlockwise on Cheettukali), each player either plays 1 to 4 cards face down, claiming they are the same rank, or passes.
  3. If every other player passes after someone's play, the pile is set aside, out of the game, and the last player who played starts a new round with any rank.

Calling bluff

Example: Priya plays two cards and says "two Sevens". You hold three Sevens yourself, so at most one Seven is left in other hands. You call Bluff! The cards are a Seven and a Jack: Priya picks up the pile and you start the next round.

Winning

When you play your last cards, the next player can still call bluff. If they don't, or if your cards were true, you have won.
