Golf Solitaire Rules
Golf is a simple one-pack patience game. You try to move all the cards from seven columns onto a waste pile, and your score counts the cards you couldn't move, like strokes in golf.

⛳ Play it now: open Golf Solitaire.
Layout
- 35 cards in seven columns of five, all face up and overlapping so you can see every card.
- The other 17 cards form the stock; one is turned up to start the waste.
Play
- The bottom (uncovered) card of any column can be moved to the waste if it is one rank higher or lower than the top waste card. Suits don't matter.
- No wrapping: a King is not next to an Ace.
- Nothing may be played on a King; when a King is on the waste, you must turn a new stock card.
- Turn the next stock card onto the waste whenever you like. There is one pass through the stock.
Scoring
When the stock is empty and no more moves are possible, count the cards left in the columns: that's your score for the hole. Clearing the whole table scores 0 (some versions give minus points for stock cards left over). Play nine holes and add them up for a full round.
FAQ
What is a good score in Golf Solitaire?
Anything in single figures is a good round; 0 means you cleared the table.
Can you move cards between columns in Golf?
No. Cards only go from the columns to the waste pile.
Why can't I play on the King?
In standard Golf, nothing can be played on a King. Turn a new card from the stock.
