Bluff, Cheat, I Doubt It: One Game, Many Names
Few card games have as many names as the one where you're allowed to lie.

The names
- Bluff: the usual name in India.
- Cheat: the common British name.
- I Doubt It: an older American name, from what you shout when you think someone's lying.
- There are ruder names too, used mostly by students.
The main versions
| Version | What rank do you play? |
|---|---|
| Fixed sequence (classic Cheat) | Aces, then 2s, then 3s… everyone must claim the next rank in order |
| Same rank (common in India) | Leader picks a rank; everyone follows that rank until a challenge or all pass |
| Up, down or same | You may claim the same rank or one above or below |
Who can call?
At many tables anyone can shout "Bluff!"; elsewhere only the next player. Cheettukali uses the next player, which keeps the game turn by turn.
